2. What Personal Data We Collect
When you visit our Site, the categories of data listed below may be processed for various purposes. If you notice any other data being collected, please contact us.
Server logs (hosting telemetry)
Our Site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel records standard server logs containing your IP address, browser information (User-Agent), request timestamp, requested URL, and referrer. These records are retained for security, debugging, and service quality purposes.
Analytics data (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID: G-2TNHKBL2JK) to understand how visitors use our Site. It is activated only if you grant consent to "Analytics" cookies via the cookie consent banner. Until you consent, the Google Analytics script (gtag.js) is never loaded, no cookies are set, and no data is collected — the default state is "not tracked".
Even when you consent, we do not collect directly identifying information such as your name or email address, your precise GPS-based location, or any marketing/advertising data; advertising signals are disabled by default. Your IP address is processed in anonymised (truncated) form. The analytics data collected is processed by Google LLC (USA) under its own privacy policy and the safeguards applicable to international data transfers.
When you grant consent, the following types of usage data are collected:
- Pages visited and time spent on the Site
- Scroll depth and outbound link clicks
- Contact form submissions (the submission event only — form content is not sent to Google)
- City-level geographic region (not precise location)
- Device and browser type, and the source that referred you to the Site
Contact form
When you reach us through the form on our Contact page, we process your name, email address, phone number, and company (if you provide them), the subject of your inquiry (including the intended end user/institution for quote requests), and the content of your message. For security and abuse prevention, the IP address and browser information (User-Agent) at the time of submission are also recorded. You must accept this Privacy Policy before the form can be submitted.
This data is stored in our infrastructure's database so that we can review and respond to your inquiry; a notification email is sent to our team and a confirmation (auto-reply) email is sent to you. Email delivery is handled by Resend. See section 5 for retention periods.
WhatsApp redirect
When you click the WhatsApp button on the Site, you are redirected to the WhatsApp application. From that point onward, information you share is governed by the privacy policy of WhatsApp / Meta. Conversations initiated with us through WhatsApp are retained for the duration of our commercial relationship and any applicable legal retention period.
Google Maps embed
The Google Maps embed on our Contact page transmits your IP address and other technical data to Google when it loads. See Google's privacy policy for details.
Google Fonts
Google Fonts is used site-wide for typography. When fonts load, your browser transmits your IP address to Google.
3. Purposes of Processing
- Operating and securing the Site's technical infrastructure
- Responding to business inquiries received via WhatsApp and email
- Debugging and improving service quality
- Complying with our legal obligations (Turkish Commercial Code, KVKK, and other applicable law)
4. Legal Bases (KVKK Art. 5)
Your data is processed on the following legal grounds set out in Article 5 of the KVKK:
- Server logs and technical telemetry: legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5/2-f) — keeping the Site secure and reliable
- Contact form, WhatsApp, and email exchanges: necessity for the formation or performance of a contract (KVKK Art. 5/2-c) and pre-contractual negotiations
- Statutory retention: compliance with a legal obligation (KVKK Art. 5/2-ç)
- Google Analytics 4 measurement: explicit consent (KVKK Art. 5/1) — only if you accept "Analytics" cookies
5. Retention Periods
Data is retained for as long as the processing purpose requires and in accordance with the minimum periods set by applicable law.
- Server logs: up to 12 months
- WhatsApp and email exchanges: for the duration of the commercial relationship, then for 10 years under the Turkish Commercial Code
- For data stored by third-party providers, the provider's own retention policy applies
6. Sharing with Third Parties
We work with the following service providers for the Site's infrastructure. As their servers are located outside Turkey, data such as server logs, contact form submissions, and (where you have consented) analytics data may be transferred outside Turkey.
- Vercel Inc. (USA): site hosting
- Neon, Inc. (USA): database infrastructure provider; contact form submissions and site content data
- Google LLC (USA): Google Maps embed, Google Fonts, and (only with your consent) Google Analytics 4
- Resend, Inc. (USA): delivery of contact form notification and confirmation emails
- WhatsApp / Meta Platforms Inc. (USA): the redirect target for the WhatsApp button
Apart from these, we do not share your data with third parties except where we are required to respond to lawful requests from authorised public authorities.
7. Your Rights Under KVKK
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, as a data subject you have the right to:
- Learn whether your personal data is being processed
- Request information if it is
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is being used in line with that purpose
- Know the third parties to whom data has been transferred, domestically or abroad
- Request correction if data is incomplete or inaccurate
- Request erasure or destruction
- Request that any correction, erasure, or destruction be communicated to third parties to whom data was transferred
- Object to a result that is unfavourable to you arising from automated analysis
- Claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing
To exercise these rights, please submit a written request to info@akad.health. Requests will be answered within 30 days, in line with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller.
8. Notice for EU Visitors (GDPR)
Visitors from the European Union have similar rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. EU residents may direct requests and complaints to info@akad.health.
9. Cookies and Consent Management
Our Site uses strictly necessary (technical) cookies and local storage for basic functions such as browser session and language preference. As these are required for the Site to work, they are not subject to consent.
In addition, analytics cookies belonging to Google Analytics 4 are used only if you grant explicit consent. On your first visit, a KVKK- and GDPR-compliant cookie consent banner is displayed; analytics and marketing cookies remain off by default until you actively accept them.
Using the "Customize" option, you can manage each cookie category separately: Necessary cookies (always on), Analytics cookies (Google Analytics — off by default), and Marketing cookies (not currently used; may be used for targeted advertising in the future).
You can view, change, or withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the page footer. Your choice is stored in your browser for 365 days; after that period, or whenever our cookie policy changes, you will be asked again.

This Privacy Policy is reviewed periodically. The last-updated date on this page is refreshed when material changes are made; significant changes affecting users may also be announced separately.
